Gel Pen Club is a love letter to our tween selves. You remember, don’t cha? That times we took the prettiest, sparkliest notes in class (only to get a B-), swapped J-14 magazine posters at lunch with our friends (my Nick Jonas for your Jesse McCartney?), and cared way too much about decorating our middle-school lockers.
This is our little corner of the internet for nostalgic pop-culture lovers, playlist makers, TV-static dreamers, and anyone who still believes an idea written in glitter gel pen ink can change the world.
Here, I write about pop culture, style, music, media, and memory. Basically, I’m out here jotting down our shared nostalgia with an older, wiser (but still very glittery) perspective.
π Passing Notes On

π¬ Film + TV — comfort rewatches, underrated gems, teen-drama deep dives

π Personal Style — thrifting, aesthetic inspo, expressive fashion moments
π About Me
Soooo, yeah! My name Shelly Ray (she/her), a 30-something year-old creative based in The Peach State, where the summers are long, the gas station sunsets are worth pulling over for, and the sweet tea (small-town gossip) is strong, honeyyyyy.
I find comfort in nostalgia, but I’m not stuck in the past… well, at least I think. I’ve always been obsessed with the way culture loops, remixes, and resurfaces, and I like exploring what those little time-capsule moments say about us.
I have a lot of thoughts about everything, and as a super shy Virgo, I usually keep them to myself. This is exactly why I started writing again here on blogspot. I want to get out of my comfort zone while get into doing something creative. I loved to write when I was younger, and I’m excited to find my way back to myself.
